I just got back spending 6 hours at the VA hospital with my father, he do have a few test done for
his heart.

While he was upstairs I got something to eat and just walked around people watching.

There were a lot of young Vets there, many in bad shape.

There were a lot of older Vets, many from WWII.

The place was packed, the huge parking lot was full.

I was thinking about all the wars that the United States has been in looking at all the Vets, both young and old.

When people say just send in the troops do they think about the human cost.

I was in the Army but never saw combat, glad I didn't.

I wish we treated our Vets better, they shouldn't have to wait hours just to see a Dr.

I hope I never have to use that hospital.
