4. Serious answer and not so serious answer... |
|
Churches getting involved in the domestic affairs of a country (the catholic church, the mormons, the baptists, etc, etc, freaking etc). They have no business whatsoever trying to foist their religious beliefs on others. The fight for gay marriage is a perfect example of this.
Not so serious answer: films starring Julia Roberts. Blech, blech, blech!

I go nuts. Not particularly because I exceed the speed limit, but it forces others to weave in and out of the traffic lanes. So pinheads that think they are making things safer by taking it upon themselves to enforce the speed limit are actually endangering innocent drivers by their selfishness and moronic belief that everyone will see the logic behind their actions and sheepishly obey the speed limits because THEY think they should. See, it gets me so angry, I start writing run-on sentences.
Anyone that drives the Jersey Turnpike with any regularity knows EXACTLY what I mean.

...the stupid will always be with us. They can't help it. They're to be pitied. The willfully ignorant though, and the kind of people who raise their voices to 'win' arguments should be put in camps or given their own radio shows. Oops! I guess some of them have already been given their own radio shows.

this is especially telling:
Amphiboly Definition:
An amphiboly occurs when the construction of a sentence allows it to have two different meanings.
Examples: ii) The Oracle of Delphi told Croseus that if he pursued the war he would destroy a mighty kingdom. (What the Oracle did not mention was that the kingdom he destroyed would be his own. Adapted from Heroditus, The Histories.)
