What do you expect death will be like? |
|
Me?
If my heart goes out before my brain, I'll go into a subconscious dream that seems to last forever, until I finally fade out.
If my brain goes first - black then nothing....

6. i don't expect the "ego" or conscious mind to survive |
|
i do expect that the energy that is the body SPK will have to go somewhere
and the body will decay and feed the planet
i don't mean to sound negative, i'm just saying that i don't know that i'll "know" death in any terms that i relate to at this juncture since i understand life through the interpretive aspects of my brain which will no longer be around.

If after I die (which I think will be instantaneous) if I will have to pull guardian angel duty for a while. And I bet that SUCKS because you have to watch everything, and you probably know what is going to happen, but *most of the time* with certain notable exceptions (hence the term 'guardian angel') you can't do anything about it. I bet it is alot easier to be an earth creature, just fumbling obliviously through life.

8. Exactly what the major spiritual paths describe. |
|
The colors of each element releasing, then...and...if enough awareness has been cultivated in life, consciousness of the clear light, and the chance for unification with it.
This is said to be possible to develop, through continuous awareness throughout sleep. They call sleep to be literally the obscuration of ignorance, and it blocks you from knowing the source when the senses shut down temporarily. Dreams are minimal reconnection to the senses, and the mind becomes active again, and externals can intrude more easily.
It has been described that heaven consists of the mid to upper astral realms, and hell, the concentration of the lower astral (dreams of not being able to run through dense material, feet stuck, etc., and far far worse). If you have positive and negative karma, you spend the appropriate time in each realm, burning it off, then you return to the physical if you haven't ended your root poisons. If you are ignorant enough, you won't be aware through any of this.
I'm just parroting what I've read, although I've had enough experience in lucid dreaming to confirm some of it. I haven't seen the clear light, however.
The astrals are supposed to be what was depicted in "What Dreams May Come". Our mindset creates our experience in these utterly fluid realms.

37. Distant relatives of mine passed recently. |
|
They were in their 80s, married 60+ years, he had cancer, she had pneumonia (or vice versa), and they went within hours of each other; the second one to go was never told that the first one had died. It was hard on their children/grandchildren to lose both parents/grandparents at once, but at the same time, it's kind of sweet.

and I'll be damn happy to see them then...nothing. It's how the brain reacts just before death. Used to scare the hell out of me, but I'm getting more okay with it as time goes on.
