An ex-girlfriend once looked at me when I was naked and said, "if we have children, I hope we have girls, because I want them to have gorgeous thin legs like yours." I was fucking stunned. She already knew that my condition has a 50% chance of passing itself on to my children, and was basically saying she wanted to produce daughters with MD.

Now, my form of MD is the kind that doesn't kill young and doesn't harm internal organs, but still. Wishing your child had a genetic order, because it would make them thin????

Needless to say, the woman is no longer my girlfriend.
