How am I spending my morning, you ask? How kind of you to inquire. |
|
I am spending my morning driving around Richmond to find suitable places to take TeenMidlo's senior portraits.
According to the photographer, NO ONE just does them in a studio anymore, perish the thought.
So, we shall be finding all kinds of new and exciting places to take portraits until TeenMidlo pisses me off so badly I push her head underwater.
Thanks for stopping by.

2. The photographer, who is a friend of mine, wants to use |
|
her portraits for advertising. So we're going to the reservoir, downtown. She has five outfits picked out.
I didn't realize until last night that I had to go, too. *sigh*

|
are going to use her radiant beauty for advertising.
*Five* outfits - gee I can't wait until Little MB becomes a teen:sarcasm:
Enjoy the day - I hope it is not too hot out there. :hi:

24. Debi Jr. had four outfits |
|
but also had pics with his cousin AND two best friends AND his two dogs. (good of that was that one of our dogs died since then..so we at least have great pics of him )
A friend of Debi Jr.'s had six clothing changes and did studio, outside and in school poses...her folks ended up purchasing 10 different types of wallets for her to hand out x( we only bought four...

|
But all the photographers around here are big time competing for the business, so when my friend offered to it, I jumped at it.

10. One of the biggest scams around |
|
Edited on Fri Aug-03-07 08:49 AM by seemunkee
Wait until you find out how much those pictures are going to cost. I was shocked. At my daughters school they took the official portrait and then you could pay sitting fee, or fees depending on how many different makeup/hair/outfit changes you wanted. It was like a damn glamour shot session. I can't remember the cheapest package but they went up to over $1K. A reasonably small package cost $300. Then when they get their gowns they take cap and gown photos and try to sell you another package. Then at graduation they take photos of them crossing the stage and try to sell you ANOTHER damn package. Made me glad my son graduated a year early and missed out on all that crap.
Edit- I see a friend is taking them so you probably won't feel like your being robbed.

|
I'm not dissapointed at all either.
You forgot some though, the dance photos and memory books from those dances and the full 'proof' books of the senior portriats and graduation.
I can't tell you how much we spent b/c if Mr. Debi found out he'd have my hide! :scared:
But I'm thrilled with every dime.
(Oh, and did I mention how we put the pics on water bottle labels for the graduation party and had banners made as well???)

23. Debi Jr. did them 1/2 in studio and 1/2 outside |
|
Outside was easy - gazebo, cement bench, brick wall, rocks - all in the back yard of the photography studio
Inside :grr: different backdrop, different chair, different floor covering, different lighting FOR EACH DAMN POSE!!
(Heck, one of the poses we even used a patterened filter colored light AND smoke...for ONE pose...)
However, even though it took three appointments and six hours his photos are beautiful (I kept buying and buying and buying them).
Good luck. Please let TeenMidlo live.

All kidding aside, my friend is using TM for a marketing tool, putting her pics on postcards, so we get the basic package for free.
:woohoo:
I will probably buy extras though. She has an amazing eye. And, she took over 300 pics!!!
