Hey DUMBASS working for Sears Credit Card division...
no one EVEREVEREVER asks for the password of your account. That is a massive security violation in the credit card industry.

My coworkers even heard my bitching and were shocked that someone was asking for my password.

These assholes are fucking up my credit because #1: They gave me a mastercard I did not want. I have a credit card, didn't want a Sears Mastercard. Just wanted a Sears store account credit card because it's a nice emergency car incase you need car work done and you're pit broke.

But they gave me a Mastercard and did an automatic transfer except the assholes forgot to turn off the old bill from the old car.

And now the asshole working Sears credit line wants my account password. Why not I just give him the account for my checking & savings too. Hell I have $50 in my wallet - can I mail that to him too.

And when I asked for a supervisor the dumbass kept saying it was policy to get their password information and refused to give me a supervisor until I could provide this information.

Of course I'm at work, everyone heard the conversation and were laughing at my snippy attitude towards this dumbass and in shock someone wants me to give over my password account.

Seriously - has anyone EVER had someone working for a bank/credit card insist on your account password? If they have DON'T GIVE IT!! That is a major security breach!

1. NO but ass on the phone this morning
did ask me what kind of car I drove "for collateral". He also asked for my full ssn-I've only had to give the last four before.

I'd love to stick his head through a wall today.

3. I only give the last four, and only if I'm feeling generous.
I've had to point out multiple times that SSN's aren't to be used for identification purposes. Usually I end up having to talk to a supervisor to get my point across.

That's kinda funny about the car for collateral thing.

4. About the SSN-exactly.
I don't know when that crap started-probably about the same time that they began posting SSN in high school to tell a student's grades.

2. I just posted them five minutes ago
I got into financial trouble once, my own fault and I went through a credit counseling company through the United Way that worked out payment arrangements and stopped the harassing calls. Discover card was the best, they forgave all the late and over the limit charges and the rest of my other cards pretty much did the same. Just pay back what I spent in three years and everything would be cool. But not Sears, they wanted it all and continued with the late and over the limit charges and the harassing phone calls. I worked on paying them the most and got them paid off first.
The assholes actually had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to come back again and get another card. I told them to stick-it.
