or are you kidding? With the way teens dance now (I think that's what they call it) looks like "the act" to me! What we used to call dancing seems tame ( hanging on each other) Have fun.

7. I survived!!!

Probably 2/3 of the kids were 9th graders which means they run in same-sex packs. About 20 girls, in very pretty dresses, danced together en masse all evening. The boys stood around the perimeter and watched. A few participated, but mostly they just watched.

Some of the upper class kids were sucking face in the corner, but that's all they were doing so we let them suck away.

Pretty tame.

9. Yeah, it was one thrilling evening.

I have fulfilled another of my contractual obligations. Check that one off the list.

I actually felt a lot like a room mother. Several girls needed either bandaids to protect their feet from their shoes or tape to fix bra straps.

A couple of the boys tried to drag me out on the dance floor but damn, I'm much too shy for that.

Time for bed now. I'm very tired from all that excitement.
