The Mediterranean Diet - it's bloody expensive, isn't it?
x(

Of course, if I report to one piece of fish per day that will stretch the 2LB bag of orange roughy out to a whole 2 days... a lot less cholesterol as well, even though as far as meats go the orange roughy has a very low cholesterol count...

1. Umm a serving of fish
or any meat is only about 4 oz.

You're eating a pound of fish a day?

6. You should see the size of my
stomach.

My cholesterol must be off the charts if 4oz is one serving. No wonder the doc warned me about my kidneys... No kidneying...

2. I could live on
the Mediterranean Diet. In fact, I could live on the Mediterranean. Further fact, when I win the Big Lotto next week (hee, hee)I'm flying over and buying a nice roomy yacht and hiring all the appropriate crew. Just sail from port to port...ah, the good life.

3. I wanna live on a Greek Island
That would suit me just fine. :D

All the olives, feta, and white wine I could stand. :D

The olives will be in the salad I make later. Sadly, out of feta.

Edit to add: do you like Greek music? I have a couple of CD's of Greek tunes, plus some flamenco and Arabic/North Afician stuff I listen to at work.

4. Most finfish are low in cholesterol, last I read.
Orange roughy is better than many, but can be expensive. Back in the day, I could've LIVED on seafood. Swordfish, haddock, smelts...lobstah...seafood newburg...

8. Pollock (imitation crabmeat) is not only better re: cholesterol than orange roughy,
it's a lot less cheaper too.

:9

Crab legs are delish too. :9 But really spiky and hard to get open...
