... does that reveal anything about my personality?

1. "Battlebots" and "Monster ..." are better
But yeah, both are OK.

Does that reveal anything about mine?

2. It means you value people that create things with their hands.
It's something I've never really done on a large scale, so I admire it in other people.

That is why I like shows like Junkyard Wars and the motorcycle building shows.

3. I remember watching "Robot Wars" while I was in Egypt for a year.
I loved it.

"Junkyard Wars", "Monster House" and "Monster Garage" are some of my fav shows on TV!

6. Does anyone else hate the new JW format?
They changed the format of the American version this year by adding some 'too-cool-for-words' hosts and making the team captains permanent. It's kind of a bit too calculated - they do the reality show thing of focusing on the 'team dynamics' and personalities too much. Way too calculated. Just get to the part where they saw the car in half, please!

I still love watching the British version, though... a classic. Robert is such a great host, though I miss Cathy Rogers.

Liked Battlebots better than Robot Wars. Again, Robot Wars is a bit too calculated. Battlebots is sheer mayhem.

Of course, I studied physics and engineering in college. I'm a geek.

7. Hear, hear.
The new Junkyard Wars stinks.

Personally, I despise Battlebots. Shows that go out of their way to be shallow and stupid do not entertain me. Robot Wars is okay, though.

9. Battlebots had horrible hosts, I agree,
But I love the way Battlebots did combat - two robots against each other in a battle to the death.

There's just too much going on in Robot Wars. I hate the house robots, and I can never figure out the rules. Plus, that pro wrestler host is pretty annoying.

My new favorite robot show is Robot Rivals on DIY. Two college teams are assigned a robot to perform a specific task, then have to build it. It's very geeky and very cool.

10. I Enjoyed "Full Metal Challenge"... but I wonder if it will return
for another season. Did it play itself out?

-- Allen

P.S. Henry Rollins is hot.
