Greetings fellow DUers!

So.. A few weeks ago I got a hair cut. Beginning of this year I had surgery. And about two weeks ago I had another surgery. So it seems like a good time for some before and after pix! :)

I've only been playing for a couple of years.. before that I played guitar and piano. I love the bass though. My friend plays drums and guitar, and the chemistry between us is just awesome.. we can jam for hours and have a blast! I don't perform though.. maybe one day when/if i'm not so shy.. Does your husband play professionally?

He's been playing bass for over 20 years. He has been in a few bands here and there, but he was more focused on getting his doctorate in Science. He recently got a guitar and started playing death metal on it as a side interest.

He's gone on to making bass videos on YouTube.

Slapping is really something I'd like to do, but I just can't get it right. I can play, say, one song using that technique. He has some nice gear, too. Heck, tell him he's got a fan at DU :P

the big thing about curls though that people without them don't get is that it's a lot of trouble! lol. sometimes my hair will frizz up like a poodle, lol and curls tangle easy(although you can't see it in the mess of curls ;) ). i prefer not having to fix my hair though like i did with straightening it all the time. now i can just wake up part my hair and i'm ready, lol.

in the end, that is why I got rid of my hair. I really just loved having curls of my own (lol) but my hair is just way too frizzy.. If I don't put some sort of product in it I look ridiculous. Ahh well. I'm just lazy though, ya gotta stick with the curls! Or you could shave your head. :P

i got tired of the tangles, lol! plus it's summer and burning up down here in bama! although it's not extremely short it is much shorter. i'm pretty lazy when it comes to appearance and to me it's about comfort(i'm not your typical high maintenance gal, lol)

Here's one of me and my hubby in 1969, just after his bike wreck and knee surgery, on a tour of our state - this one is near the Copper River down the Richardson Highway, coming into GlennAllen - and yeah, that's ice. It was late July.



And one of me, and my sweetheart (still) in 2006: (Oh, yeah, he told me not to forget the bike. We've been riding together since I was 15 and he was 17.) We love it!
