4. Their phone cards are an amazingly good deal. 3.47cents a minute. |
|
(and only 7.94 cents per minute to England, 11.41 to Ireland, etc) I bought some back before I started avoiding WalMart/sam's.
The good news is that you can recharge the cards over the phone, and charge it to a credit card, thereby avoiding shopping at Sam's

I've been avoiding Wal-Mart for some time now -- but I've only been doing it strictly as a matter of principle for about a year. It does get a lot easier after a few weeks, and I've found that there are several other stores that do as well as Wal-Mart in what Wal-Mart supposedly does "well" without the necessariy sacrifice of your integrity that comes with shopping at Satan's Place.

Note: If you absolutely need that warehouse jammed full of goods mentality, shop at Costco.
According to opensecrets.org, they give 100% of their political contributions to the Democratic Party.
