Any Hyundai owners in the lounge?
How do you like the car? I might need a new one to replace my honda from the 80s, and I'm wondering if todays hyundais are of the same durability and quality of the hondas of that era.

1. 2002 Sonata,131,000 miles, set of brakes at 129,000 and 2wheel bearings. Couple of headlights.
Usual maintenance. Service from the dealer once for an expected timing belt was very, very good. Body excellent. Interior also excellent. Bought the car for 20k loaded. Has worked well for me.

3. Interesting. Have you heard anytthing about the cheaper models
The sonata is too nice for me. I'm thinking more along the lines of the new Accent for 10K

2. a friend has the Santa Fe (small SUV) and loves it
she also mentioned that dealer maintenance has been excellent.

We rented a car a while back and got a Sonata - it was very comfortable, very good gas mileage, and had a lot of zip. I think Hyundais now are really very good cars....

5. New Hyundai owner
Well its not a new car, but its new to us, a 2004 Hyundai Sonnata. It has been pretty good to us since we got it a few months ago. No complaints yet (knock on wood).

7. 2002 Sonata, 119,000 miles
I replaced the Crank Sensor & Timing Belt this last winter, about a $500 job. Brakes were replaced before that.

11. I have 2000 Hyundai Elantra
I really like it. It's never given me a problem a very reliable car. I'll probably be purchasing another one when mine dies.
