Best music video ever?
I don't know except it can't be MJ's Thriller. Thought it sucked even though the dancing was cool.

1. I agree. The dancing was awesome

but the concept and the execution were a little cheesy.

As to best? I can't really say. There have been some pretty cool music videos. I have an affinity for "Come Into My World" by Kylie Minogue. It's probably not the greatest ever but its pretty well done.

Simple but fun.

6. I'm by no means a Kylie Minogue fan, but I AM a Michel Gondry fan, so I love that video.

10. yes, that is one of the best
It really was ground-breaking at the time and also really fun to watch even today.

A couple of favorites of mine

Linger Cranberries (everything I remember about how the early 90's were is in this video)

Gold digger by Kanye West (I just love this video)

12. I hated the song and video, but I had a crush on Buntie Bailey
Not from that video, though. From the Billy Idol "To be a Lover" video. She was the dancer in the middle. And the waitress in the Aha video. Apparently she dated the singer from Aha, and then Billy Idol. Not relevant. I'm just bitter it wasn't me, I guess. :)

15. That's extraordinary
So effing beautiful.

Just today I was chatting it up with the record store girl and she threw Sigur Ros out as something she really liked. It's usually not my thing, but damn...

11. Queen: I want to break free.

That was a group of guys having a blast.

If you want one that was truly momentous, I'd say "We are the world" by USA For Africa.

14. When I used to quantify such things, "Losing my religion" was my answer.
But I haven't watched videos enough in a decade to even know what all has been done lately.

Still a great video, especially for the time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7vs21ZKrKM
