It is FREAKING hot in St Louis and it's gonna get HOTTER

Until August we've had a mild summer, by St Louis standards...few days above 90 and cool nights with lows in the 60s.

Naturally, as my luck runs, I was house sitting during the mild parts of the summer (June and July). The woman I was house sitting for returned from St Lucia on July 31......THAT'S when the weather took a turn for the WORSE.

AUGUST ARRIVED....

with a VENGEANCE unknown since biblical times.....

We are under an excessive heat warning until the end of the week.

The highs on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday is ONE HUNDRED freaking DEGREES ABOVE ZERO!

I have CRAPPY window unit air conditioners provided by the apartment complex. I don't want to buy a new AC because I'm moving in approximately three weeks.

THANK GOD (or entity or non entity of your choice) I have a co-worker who gambles very regularly for on Tuesday and Wednesday night I will be staying FOR FREE at a local casino's hotel.

At least I know I'll be able to sleep those two nights.

Guess I'll go have some Indian food.

I tried to play disc golf yesterday, but it must have been 100 degrees out there in the forest. I was moving from one shady spot to the next. I had to stop after five holes.

3. Los Angeles is in a huge drought. Stay tuned for many fires.

It would be a welcome miracle if there were none, considering the current conditions.

Take this from a native Texan never go out in the middle of the day if you can help it.

I have seen people running for their health in the middle of the day, crazy.

Just stay cool and be sure to have some sports drink around, it can save you life.
