Would you believe I totally rejected one house because the neighbor had a hummer |
|
And this wasn't some upscale neighborhood. What the fuck someone needs a black oversized hummer while living in downtown Wilmington is beyond me. Needless to say I don't want to go outside every morning and see that behometh

5. Oh, got it. At least he's a friendly guy, even tho' he's driving a Hummer |
|
Friendly, albeit unconscious about his impact on the planet. Oh well.
Good luck house-hunting! :hi:

Looking at the behometh is the least of your worries. Buying that house would mean living next door to someone assholish enough to own it. Now who wants to live next door to a "I don't give a shit about anyone but me" asshole or at best hangs around with those kinds of assholes.

4. Someone at the office has one. |
|
:eyes:
He gets ragged about it constantly.
There's a BP refinery in Whiting, IN (just outside of Chicago) that recently got EPA permission for a big expansion and the right to dump more ammonia and toxic sludge into Lake Michigan. That has pissed off a lot of people here (it's our drinking water and our beaches, for chrissake!) and there is a big backlash against BP. The guy with the Hummer is all for it, despite the pollution, because he wants 25-cents-a-gallon gas.
One day I might just suggest that he go live in Iran, where gas is 25 cents a gallon. It's also rationed, LOL.

6. And NJ wonders why we don't want BP building any plants along our coastal water |
|
There's an oddity about the DE/NJ border, which is divided by the Delaware river. The DE border goes practically up to the New Jersey coastline. So if NJ wants to build some BP gas piers along the coast they are technically doing it in Delaware waters. Now the part where New Jersey wants to build is a pretty low population area but it reaches into some highly populated areas of Delaware plus some of our northern beaches. We don't want that crap there and New Jersey is fighting it. But as long as they are building and dumping into the Delaware river, they are doing it on Delaware waters, not New Jersey

I say.
Who knows what other selfish habits he has that won't make him a great neighbor.
LOL! Wouldn't it be hystierical if it eventually got around to him that his house value suffered because no body else wants to live next to a Hummer? Talk about just desserts.
