i have the Giants game on in the background here and i feel that it really should be a football game instead. weird. but a good weird.

11. this is when i miss the midwest (kinda) . . .
i do love a nice t-storm, lightning and all - the smell of fresh earth afterwards is terrific.

15. hahahahahahahah . . .
it got so hot in Kansas that the tar melted on the streets. i remember walking home from the muni swimming pool in bare feet saying "ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch" - and there was something about the heat on the soles of my feet that would make me nauseous.

18. Holy Moley --Sunday's weather was a shock.
It was only in the low 60s even on this side of the hills. I like it too. Today isn't shaping up to be much warmer.

21. Cool, indeed
I'm making wood wearing long pants and a sweater in the Sacramento Valley, in August!! And to think we had triple digit temps on Saturday. Yesterday, the wind blew stink and was generally miserable, but today it's breaking overcast with a pleasant breeze. I wouldn't mind a week of this.
