Saw the Ditty Bops last night
They're an incredibly cute duo with angelic voices whose repertoire consists largely of bouncy/dreamy, jazzy, '30s-ish "Paper Moon" kinda tunes. They're also extremely good liberals — they support a project to eliminate plastic bags, etc. (with petitions at their shows and online) and a lotta other "save the Earth" kinda stuff. At last night's show, at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center in Santa Cruz, Calif., they raffled off an eco garden box for growing your own food in a small space, and on their last tour they bicycled across the U.S.

Oh — Amanda was dressed as a carrot and Abby as an artichoke.

I just :loveya: 'em.

1. A friend turned me on to them.
Great harmonies. Sounds like they're good vegetables, too!
