Not a good idea-9 mile run on Benadryl

So I get up Saturday morning to find that apparently I had at least one too many cocktails the night before. Oh well tough it out and go for your run. My wife had Josie duty, that is the agreement.

On the way to the run I start sneezing crazily-completely out of control. I pull over and open the trunk to get into my running gear bag. I grab one of the pink ones (still sneezing out of control) and take it.

I never felt like I really "got into" the run. I barely finish, the last two miles were absolutely BRUTAL. I get home and I am falling asleep just sitting there. Nodding off. We have lunch, Josie goes to nap, so do I.

Yesterday we go out for dinner and a drive and I relate this to my wife. "No wonder you were so wiped out after the run. I think you will do fine come marathon time"

The 85% humidity didn't help either.

Lesson learned.
