Hmmm... Not a good combination. |
|
When you're in a lot of pain, one of the side effects you can experience is congestion. I tend to get this side effect. I get phlemmy when I'm in a lot of pain. (TMI, I know. Sorry.)
Narcotic pain killers suppress your breathing a bit, and also suppress your cough reflex.
That is not a good combination. I'm coughing but it's not doing a lot of good.
If I take the medicated cough syrup to deal with the cough will it make me tired enough to actually get some sleep tonight? I don't want to wake up my roommate with my coughing.

1. The medicated cough syrup might help that... |
|
I'm not sure, though...
Be careful, OK?
I'd prefer you woke up your roommate ...
If you get my drift...

We spoke earlier tonight about whether I needed to go to the emergency room. She works at the nearest hospital that I'd go to.
She knows that I don't want to wake her or disturb her, but if I had a problem she's prepared and would be cool about it.

3. I'm sorry that you are having so much trouble tonight. |
|
I wish that I could take it away for you.
It breaks my heart to know that someone is in pain and I can't change it.
Please, take care of yourself. Get some rest.
All my love and good vibes coming to you.

 Thank you very much!
I don't want to take any more meds to force myself to sleep. I think it would be safer to stay awake. Just less pleasant.
That's why I'm hanging around here in the lounge. Though I think I may put on some quiet music and try to read something light and silly. I have a Terry Pratchet book or two around here somewhere that I haven't read yet. :)

6. Oh, I thought it was going to be spooge and goat smegma. |
|
But what you've got isn't a good combo, either. Sorry about that. :pals:

I haven't seen much of you in quite a while. I hope you have been having a wonderful summer!
Yes, spooge and goat smegma would definitely be an even worse combination. I think I prefer the congestion and painkillers. :puke:
You really have to worry about some of the people here in the lounge. :P

8. At the moment, I'm lying on a combination of rugs, jackets, and comforters on a hardwood floor |
|
My room in a state of semi-permanent disarray. There is no light in the ceiling fixture in anticipation of (hopefully) the maintenance guy's visit tomorrow. I will hopefully have a bed and a desk in the next week, as well as cable and non-stolen internets. Yes, I've moved into a new apartment. It's been...an adventure, but this adventure is currently giving me a sore neck in the mornings.
And, yes...the Lounge is a weird place. :P

9. I hope you get your apartment straightened out soon. |

Stretch out thoroughly every morning. Don't let yourself get a bad back from sleeping that way.
