5. 110 with the heat advisory.
TeenMidlo had field hockey practice this morning from 7-9 and was just dying.

She got a little dehydrated, too, which was worrisome. She's okay now after some gatorade.

9. Good God. I can't imagine suiting up in this weather.
Thursday I have to go to one of the school's as an advocate for a child's IEP and I am dying thinking about suiting up to go.

I think I'll just wear something casual and blame it on the weather.

15. Off the mountain here they are saying...
Even if you are healthy it is not safe to go outside.

I don't remember that as a kid! We had to choose early in the day "in" or "out." Hmm.. unless mom just didn't tell us :P

17. My dad is in VA, too, and he also happened to mention the heat
in an email I got earlier this morning. He said it was supposed to be over 100 degrees, with 88% humidity! Ugh, sounds hellish, indeed. :(

He just moved there (outside of Fredericksberg) back in Nov. and we visited him there for the first time a few weeks ago. OH. MY. GOD. The humidity is unbelievable....and according to him, it wasn't even "that bad" while we were there. I don't know how you people stand it. I guess you basically have to survive on A/C.

All I can say is, you have my deepest sympathies. You're welcome anytime to come visit us on the moderate central Californian coastline, where our typical summer weather pattern is cool morning fog followed by warm afternoon sun. It's tres pleasant.

Good luck! :hi:

You are still posting and Wood burns at 550 degrees. So if it was a 1000 then your house would burn down.

:eyes:

Come to Texas. This is the first year in a long time that we have not hit a 100 yet. Usually by May we have had a 100 degree day already. But we are baking now. Humidity is up and we are over 95 degrees today. It is humid.
