I just got off the phone with the power company. They're turning my power off tomorrow. No negotiating. It's 92 degrees with a heat advisory. Damn. Lelapin was to be paid by her grandmother for working when she was there rather than getting a regular job. When she came home, her grandmother said she'd pay for her books in September. Helluva lotta good that does us right now. She could have gotten a job and helped with her car insurance which tripled when I added her as a driver. I can't drop her because she has a license now. Damn.

Anyone who believes the economy is good is a fool. And if you have insurance, you can't possibly lose it all is an even bigger fool.

7. Well, shit, lizzie. That sucks.

That almost happened to me once. I had lost my job, and was out looking every day, but was living on unemployment checks. I called the power company after getting a shut-off notice, and told them I was getting my check in two days, and could pay the bill then.

The woman I spoke with was a total be-yotch. She said, "I don't care if you have no money. I don't care if you can't eat. I WANT MY MONEY!" (MY money????).

Asked to talk to her supervisor, who was even worse, believe it or not. She basically told me to go fuck myself.

So, I called the state's energy commissioner and actually got to talk to him. Told him what happened, and he said he would call me back. He did in a few minutes, and told me not to worry, my power wouldn't be shut off. The two women were severely reprimanded by this man, and they were off my back.

Some people ought not to be allowed to interact with others.
