Sandra Lee is horrible
You can save time on cooking without making disgusting dishes not fit for human consumption. I mean, Rachael Ray is extremely annoying but at least her recipes are accessible and sometimes appetizing.

1. Yes, but Rachael Ray is responsible for the most horrific advertisement ever:
'Quick and delicious...is quilicious a word?'
I love Dunkin' Donuts iced coffees, but the horrible obnoxiousness of that is almost enough to make me swear them off for good...

That being said, Sandra Lee makes food that I wouldn't feed to animals. Dead ones.

2. We don't have Dunkin' Donuts here
So I'm spared from what I am sure is a very obnoxious ad. She's quite possibly one of the most annoying humans on the planet.

3. Definitely.
But you are right, she has redeeming qualities.
Sandra Lee is everything Rachael Ray is, but she can't even manage to make food that's edible. :puke:

5. ... she reminds me of one of those faux 50's homemakers ...
... the color coordination and the cheesy looking desserts ... and don't forget the COCKTAILS !!!

8. sounds like quite a load...
Lee is most well-known for her "semi-homemade cooking" concept. She describes the philosophy as "70% store-bought/ready-made products accompanied by 30% fresh and creative touches allow anyone to take 100% of the credit for an incredible result."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandra_Lee_(author)

Never heard of her but it just sounds like the processed food producers have gotten together and are pushing these new personalities to push this on the american public. It's like they've realized how popular the reality cooking shows and the food network are and are afraid americans might actually learn to cook and stop eating their garbage.

This 'semi-homemade' brand/slogan cracks me up. It's processed food with what, a vegetable added or something? This is the food I grew up on, because back then the food producers had the public thinking that quicker and easier was healthy and better. Now we know that is far from the truth.
