Keep it away from munching dogs: I have a friend who had gotten a leather LOTR as a wedding gift. Her German shepherds ate it.

9. I have that one, too! Also a huge Shakespeare book, but I think that's fake.
It was only $20, and even though it was in the 80s, that still seems cheap for leather. But, who knows? It's a beautiful book.
