2. ...um...
...not tryin' to hype the thesis itself, just happy to have broken some serious writer's block which has afflicted me over the last 6 weeks or so...

The teachings of (a fundamentalist church left unnamed here) resulted in the interpretation of FDR's 1939 Taylor appointment as of extreme eschatological significance.

Edit: sorry, that's 17 words :dunce:

7. LOL!!!...
...yeah, that is the blue ribbon question... :D

I have 38 completed, and expect about 65 more, +/-, not including notes and annotated bibliography. I was having trouble breaking from one section to the next; I expect another period of...mulling the transition...in about 15 pages or so.

But it is a good step forward... :D :hi:

10. Thanks!
...I love this stuff...there is soooo much one could say, and sooo many issues which come to mind while writing...sometimes I get sidetracked just sitting back and thinking those issues out for awhile...I have to keep focused on the primary thesis and try to keep track of the other avenues for later writing.

To my mind this subject is so relevant to today...I wish more people understood the strength of apocalyptic eschatology to mold and color interpretations of reality...

:D

9. Thanks!!!
...these five were. I have done so much research that I have to constantly fight the urge to include more info than I need to, even with an outline, and shunting off some detailed info to the end notes. Certain periods of progression in the writing are more prone to this than others because they involve areas where it would be easy (and tempting) to examine peripheral issues in greater detail.

:D :hi:

13. My husband finished his PhD in March.
I understand the pressures of writing for a degree.

It can be grueling sometimes.

Hugs were always welcome with my husband during that time.

...he would suddenly hold forth on obscure bits of information which, devoid of his background knowledge, became increasingly hard to follow? My wife says I do that. :D

Her degree was an BSN in Nursing, mine is in History.

My oldest daughter was just out here from Philadelphia where she is in her second year of Med School...I understood practically nothing of what she talked about...

Are you associated with Ohio State? My daughter got accepted there but chose a school in Philly instead...

EDIT: Congratulations to your husband!!! :toast: What field?

:hi:

15. I know I said a lot of "yeah"s and "uh-huh"s.
I had to let him get it out of so he could write it down.

He is in entomology and still working for Ohio State.

We're in the transition phase of finding a university position for him.

17. Congrats to your family!
College is a very individual choice.

My husband chose OSU specificially for the entomology program. That it was semi-close to my family was a bonus.
