Our standoff is turning ugly

...news is an officer is down and there are 118 officers at the scene. I've never heard of them sending so many officers before for a standoff situation with no hostages.

3. Thank-you...

...we are fine. We are just north of town, but the whole area is shut down. This is the same area that was flooded two days ago, so I think everyone is a bit stressed.

It seems it was a domestic problem that went south.

10. Mixed reports on injury

....some say an officer was down, but I'm starting to think that isn't true. I hope it's not true.

If it's on the news it will be just a little blurb, this is McHenry County...we rarely make the news, but with the new storms coming in we are expecting to flood again. It's always something...

11. I think we're under a permanent flood watch now.
So far, no flooding though. Not so in Rockford, where my sister lives. They got smacked Monday. And my Association Minister still isn't back in her office in Dekalb after flooding a few weeks ago. Maybe our time is coming.

12. It will take 1.7 inches

...on the Fox River to make it overflow. I'm not far from it, but it won't effect me....downstream however they are going to be screwn.

Rockford was a nightmare, Marengo, and Woodstock too.

Stay high and dry!

13. I'm a block from the Fox and three blocks from the Illinois
I'm not sure what flood stage is here, but it hasn't flooded since I've been here.
