Another very early post thanked bain_sidhe for some HTML advice. Later, SoCalDem and LiberalTexan became my mentors, leading to me being a Lady of the Lounge for a while and you and I were both mods! (yeah, more than you asked of, but, hey! once you start down memory lane, it's easy to keep going)

1) A Friday afternoon thread here in the Lounge. Dweeb, GOPisEvil, ZombyWoof, and Matcom were discussing the merits of various gadgets. And I was LMAO big time, just reading the posts. I couldn't resist telling them about my new Ryobi cordless with all the funky attchements and bits. :D

Whereupon Dweeb promptly put up a picture of a tall, blonde, muscular but thin woman engaging in some heavy-duty welding. LOL! I LMAO'd even harder and was immediatly and ever afterwards addicted to DU! :D

Have you gone in for scheduled maintenance yet? Gotta keep that shedule up if we don't want to void the warranty.

1st post: I believe it was a rather lengthy rant in Gen Discussion. I think it involved me applying some serious flame to the sudden switch to Iraq after the job wasn't finished in Afghanistan. Only later in my DU life have I become a Lounge Lizard. I used to post exclusively in GD, but decided to leave when the primary wars started. I'll go back after the nomination. But I'm definitely not leaving the lounge.

Favorite avatar: I like my old 9ers avatar, but since they are no longer playing, I figure its time to move on to something different.

If I was in charge of avatars, I wouldn't just add one, I'd probably add hundreds. But since we can't have college avatars, I'd like to see a NCAA tourny avatar. I'd also like to see some Videogaming avatars, my second favorite form of brain rot, next to the lounge of course.

I was asking whether Richard Perle could be charged with war profiteering when no official declaration of war had been made and suggested that the laws against war profiteering may be the reason Congress doesn't declare war anymore.

It was on a thread about the execution of Tim McVeigh. I got into a little tiff with Crewleader about the death penalty but we talked it out and came around to disagreeing without being disagreeable. :-)

If I could have any avatar...I'd have a little Darth Velma avatar that only I could use. (My best friend is a graphic designer and she photoshoped me a Darth Velma image that's on my web page.) :-)

1) One of the first posts I wrote (One of the first 10) was posting a picture of your city. I was living in Minneapolis at the time, so I posted a pic of that.

2) My favourite DU avatar is probably SpongeBob. Though I like using the TV avatar right now. If I could choose an avatar to use that's not up there, I'd pick the Winnipeg Jets logo, so I could put some other picture in my sig line.

Yesterday was my first post...it all came about after an argument I had with a freeper at an art show. I felt welcome here and found that it was very theraputical to "finally" make some posts on my favorite website.

He brought up the subject of politics and how he was so proud of Bush's* war in IRAQ. I asked him why he would condone the innocent deaths of not only our service men but the innocent civilians of Iraq. He walked away from my question...I asked him not to walk away and to come back and simply tell me his answer. He still walked away.

Anyway, the subject was do you prefer being married or single? Of course I am a lucky guy to be married so my response was an easy one. Now, only 59,997 responses to go! Congratulations on all of your posts.
