1. Staff.
We're definitely staff. When Mrs. V. pulls three hard-boiled eggs out of the fridge -- two for her, one to chop up for the cats -- that's staff.

6. I am employed by my 3 boys
When they say jump I ask them how high should I jump.
I am a live in employee and I am on duty 24/7. If they want something during the night the boss wakes me up and I have to get whatever the rest of the staff need.

7. My dogs wake when I wake, I feed them nutritious, expensive dog food
made from human grade ingredients. I dress them in specially made dog-coats and walk them around the block. My wife and I then go to our lousy jobs for 8 or more hours, while the dogs go back to sleep in a climate controlled home. Who is the master in this situation again??

12. If you are referring to the coats, they are whippets. They have
little fur and their fat % is closer to humans than dogs.

8. Heh, I saw a misprint of this saying at TJMaxx --
they had a variety of different dog- and cat-themed items. One little cushion said "Dogs Have Masters, Cats Have Stuff"! LOL!!

The perils of having items made in China or wherever...
Reminds me of some of the Japanese t-shirts with mangled English on them that an ex-boyfriend from Seattle used to laugh about.

9. I will paraphrase Winston Churchill..
I believe he said "A Dog looks up to us with devotion. A cat looks down on us with disdain. Only a pig looks us in the eye as an equal"

11. My cat is very clear
on who is the master and who is the person.

(At the moment, I am furniture, serving as Scooter's head-rest.)

15. Is your cat named after the book "Six Dinner Sid"?
That was one of my favorites of the books we read when my girls were little. The illustrations are just priceless!

14. One of my cats will meow until you do what she wants . . .
But the other one, who seems to have a defective meow mechanism, has turned directed staring into an art form. If she wants food, she will sit and stare at the bowl until someone fills it. If she wants to go out, she will stare at the door until someone opens it. If she wants to be petted, she will stare as me until I pick her up.

She's very patient about it ... but kind of inexorable.

16. Yo kitty. You want staff? Shelter's got plenty.
Any staff comes in here it is mine. Just like reading material and Girl Scout cookies. Mine.

Yo dog. Touch me there again and I'll scream.

Ok, I am fond of my pets, but from four-leggers I want respect. Otherwise I'd just have kids.
