...before you got kicked off? I've been on Free Republic for over a year now. Okay, so I admit that I forgot I opened the account and just rediscovered it, but it still has to be some kind of a record.

18. Their Threads Make No Sense... It's All Gibberish

I never go there voluntarily... only when someone at DU links to a thread "of interest". And even then, I regret ever having clicked the link.

Their forum software is antique and poorly written. It's difficult to follow a conversation and a train of thought... and the software doesn't help.

If DU were that bad, I wouldn't hang around here for very long... so that tells me that Freepers are so DESPERATE to share "quality time" with other hate filled morans that they will put up with any old shitty piece of forum software.

It's truly pathetic.

6. I managed to keep my sanity

on Freak Republic for about a week, and fifteen posts (don't know how I managed, but I did).
What finally made me snap and go out in a blaze of glory in my final fuck-you-all post was their ragging on Kerry for his health care proposal, calling him a "socialist", among the more polite terms, and saying that he'd obviously lost what little mind he had. I then wrote a long post saying that maybe his long, distinguished service in Vietnam, while watching the current usurper of the WH knowing he'd pulled strings to get out of it, had had an affect on his much greater-than-Shrub mind (yes, I referred to him as Shrub, which REALLY pissed them off, lol!)

I then went on and on and on telling them the truth about Shrub, where they could put it and what they could do with it, holding NOTHING back, and it was great! I posted a thread about it on DU, and FR then sent a bunch of trolls over here who proceeded to read that thread and everyone here loved it. It was a great post and I really wish I weren't a techno-dummy who didn't know how to post a link, because it's really fun to read!

because I still have it bookmarked on my old DU bookmarks, it was all in capital letters, and it was "I did it! I finally broke and let Freak Republic have it!" I believe it was in late May of 2003 that it was posted.
