51. My theory on that movie

They were making 2 Robin Hood movies, one starring Kevin Costner & one starring Alan Rickman. Both ran over-budget & in the end, were spliced together.

For the record, my cousins & I went to see that movie & just about died from laughing at Rickman's character. At one point, I literally couldn't breathe because I was laughing so hard. I hear he won the British equivalent of the Oscar for that role.

They discussed Severus' character before he accepted the part. I knew when I read the first book, long before there was talk of a movie, that he would play Snape.

belong to (non-HP) works as a first class flight attendant, and Rickman
was on her flight. Long story short, she had him autograph a copy of

84. I just saw "The Order of the Phoenix" today.

Alas, no one in the cast, aside from Daniel Radcliffe, has enough to do in that movie, but Alan Rickman made the most of those precious few Snape scenes. What a voice the man has!
