Mmmm! Sinus lavage!
Yes, folks, I've tried using one of those NeilMed Sinus Rinse kits. It's plenty weird (and a little messy), but it does seem to be helping a little now that I've got the hang of it.

Is this anything like the Neti pots some folks use? Help me out, here...

1. Neti Pot is Much Better IMO
It's gentler because the flow is more consistent with gravity. I'm not a big fan of NeilMed premixed packets. Baking soda is too drying, so I use only "real salt", because hasn't been processed.

Neti pot easier to clean also.

2. Hmm, don't know. I use a Grossan sinus irrigator.
It resembles a Water-Pik. It really gets things moving.

4. I use that same brand daily.
It makes your sinuses feel so much better. It does take some getting used to the sensation.

5. here's what I use.
A plastic syringe with no needle, about 5 cc capacity, filled with warm salt water. Add a bit of baking soda if desired.

Hold head back, insert filled syringe, hold other nostril closed, open mouth.

Squirt slowly. Swallow the gunk.
Blow nose.

Repeat on other side.

Helps a lot with sinus trouble and allergies.

6. Doesn't swallowing that gunk give you tummy trouble?
That mixture sounds a lot like the NeilMed solution, and they recommend not swallowing any. I did earlier this morning by accident, and my stomach didn't care for it too much.
