I was just a young'un (10) when I saw it first. We were sailing to England on the Ile de France and spent a week in NY seeing the sights. We stayed at the Waldorf, which I thought was really cool. Damn girl, you were not even alive then...lol.

Funny thing on that trip, I saw two men hand in hand and asked my mom about it. She is always so cool. She just said in a normal voice..."oh, they are homosexuals" (before the word gay was known). When I asked what that was, she said, "some people like girls and some people don't" and she left it at that. No judgment. Funny, since I ended up being one of those who likes girls.

I have always remembered my trip to NYC as my introduction to the "gay" world.
