Groan...I think I've lived in Wsiconsin too long........ |
|
My old snow scoop got too bent up to use so I went out and purchased another.
I caught myself in the garage admiring my new scoop and feeling nostalgic about the old one.
I think I've go over the edge.....................

Frankly I don't think a person can be in Wisconsin, "too long." But if one could, then too long would be more like hunkered over a Point Beer after the last Packers game, half-eaten bratwurst piled high with beer-boiled onions in hand, and wistfully moaning, "Hornung, now THAT was quarterbacking!"
Aina hey?

4. I still have the shovel |
|
I bought it almost 10 years ago.
Thankfully, I only need it to shovel my sidewalk.

5. I have the best kind of shovel... |
|
...er shoveler, my next-door neighbor. She always does it and even has a snow blower. She works many fewer hours than I do, and so I rarely have to touch the stuff. I do give her a couple bottles of wine every year at Christmas -- which she says are totally unnecessary, that she is happy to do it. :)

Why leave God's country?
Congrats on the new snow shovel!
Now, when you're retired, and hanging out at the local diner/donut shop at 4:30 am, and start reminiscing about the shovel you had 30 years ago...then you know you've been in Wisconsin not too long, but at least, a long time.
