The munkee has landed
Been home from the hospital for ~24 hours now. Its great being home but I'm still pretty wiped out. Right now my main problem is getting the digestive tract working again. The is a reason that we found learning to fart on command fun when we were kids its actually a useful skill, wish I could do it now.
Another day or two and I should be ready to trash talk in the lounge again.

4. Take it easy!
I thought I'd be macho, after my hysterectomy, and returned to work only 14 days after surgery.... it was a baaaaaad idea. Take as much time as you need. Take care of yourself!!

5. My dear seemunkee!
Welcome home!

And take it easy, OK?

Do some gentle walking around from time to time...

That will stimulate your gut...

Let's hear it for farts, and for happy recuperating!

So glad things went well for you, sweetie...

8. Welcome back....
Take it easy and we'll be happy to see you around as a regular again. You will be wiped out for a while, between the surgery and the drugs. Be well.

13. A bit of both
The anasthesia shut down the GI tract. Besides pulling the kidney through the bellybutton, I had an umbilical hernia repaired and they discovered some minor problems from my appendectomy many years ago that they fixed so there was a lot of abdominal work done that needs to settle down.

16. Hang in there...
A close co-worker is going through chemo now after having finished radiation (stomach cancer). And another co-worker's 15 year-old daughter is going through radiation for cancerous tumors on her spine.

I wouldn't wish this evil on anyone, but I can learn so much from their strength and dignity.

Peace and love to you and your beautiful family.
