Yay! I finally got my network working in Mandrake Linux 9.2

Anyone who has a nforce2 based motherboard with onboard network card, be forwarned that it sucks trying to get the ethernet up and running.

1. did you have to use modprobe, lsmod, or insmod?

2. I had to update the kernel and rebuild the nvidia rpm files.

And I had no clue what I was doing. I was just following a step-by-step instruction from some other people who had done the same.

3. was it 2.4 or 2.6?

4. 2.4.22

I am going to try updating now and see what happens.

5. if you use any of the cdburning programs in linux don't update to

2.6 for now.
