1. This is not the Wiggle's "early years" work, is it?

2. which one?
I love the Hi Los, and have several CDs and LPs of theirs.
I find them a lot more enjoyable than the 4 Freshmen.

5. "Suddenly It's The Hi-Lo's/Harmony In Jazz"
Hi-Los

It has "My Sugar Is So Refined" on it. I heard their rendition of this tune when I watched "Calypso Heatwave" last week.
The Video Beat

I last saw the Hi-Los in the movie "Good Neighbor Sam." They were doing the old "let Hertz put you in the driver's seat" tune. But "My Sugar Is So Refined" just blew me away! In addition to their smooth harmonization, the lyrics are rather clever. I'm hoping the rest of the tunes on this CD will be as good!

I've not heard the Four Freshmen very much, but will check them out to see how they compare with the Hi-Los.

4. Does it have the old Hertz jingle?
Let Hertz put you in the driver's seat
Let Hertz take you anywhere at all
By the hour, by the day
By the week or any way
Just let Hertz put you in the driver's seat
Today!

6. I'm not sure...
But they do sing the Hertz jingle in "Good Neighbor Sam" as a kind of subplot (comedy relief) to Jack Lemmon's humorous dilemma with Romy Schneider and Dorothy Provine

7. Yeah, that's how I knew they did it
I've seen "Good Neighbor Sam" half a dozen times.

"Man, that's real coffee!"

10. LOL..."Man, that's *real* coffee!"
That line causes a roar from my family each time we watch that movie. Sometimes, my wife and I will recite that bit of echolalia after taking a sip of coffee. I don't know why: it just strikes us as funny!

With "Good Neighbor Sam" and "Calypso Heat Wave," we have two-thirds of the movies the Hi-Los appeared in. We just need to find "Everthing's Ducky" and will have the complete Hi-Los movie trilogy! Fascinating, eh?
