In the picture above, the woman is clearly upset about a cheating boyfriend/husband (see the torn picture in the bottom left).
In Fatal Attraction, a married man has an affair with a mistress, and when the man wants to end the affair, the mistress goes crazy. One of the things she does to get "revenge" on her lover is to kill his family's pet rabbit while the family was away. She killed it, and left it boiling in a pot on the stove for the family when they returned. It was a pretty memorable part of the movie.
On edit: This gave rise to the term "bunny boiler," which is what this comic is poking fun at.

...You just made me realize that while I had very little interest in Fatal Attraction before, I now never ever ever ever ever ever want to see it ever.
