I'm number 456 on the library waiting list for Franken's book
And number 248 on the list for "Bushwacked". They'll be calling me any month now. When I told the librarian the titles, he said he's in both queues as well.

I took it as good news. I waited awhile before trying to check them out, guess I didn't wait long enough.

In this shitty economy, I can't afford to buy them, so I decided am spending next weekend at B&N, reading. :D

3. I've had to reorder "Lies" 3 times and "Bushwhacked"
twice for my library.

That means we have about 150 copies of "Lies" and about 100 of "Bushwhaced" in our system, and our holds to copies owned on bestsellers is 3:1.

I periodically have to reorder more lefty books than righty, but I attribute that to the relative intellect of library users.

4. How many copies of the book
did the library buy?

It's being sold for about half price used on Amazon.com. Maybe you could get a couple of friends to each chip in five bucks and order it from Amazon.

5. In fact,
I think if you posted the name and address of your library, I would bet a couple of copies would be donated by the wonderful people here. :-)

6. If you want to PM your address to me, I'd be glad
to forward my copy of "Lies" to you. I don't have "Bushwacked". "Lies" is really great, and I'd hate for you to have to wait months to read it. Let me know. :)

7. I got Franken's book right away ...
... at my library.

Now, "The DaVinci Code" is another story. I checked last Saturday, and if I had put my name on the list, I'd be number 1, 148.
