Online communities -- how much is too much?
Found this WSJ article pretty interesting.

This is one of the reasons I don't even want to try Second Life -- good ol' DU is addictive enough. Also, I do tend to go through cycles of getting interested in something new online and then getting bored with it. I just can't see cultivating the kind of hours on SL like that guy did, although I would *certainly* get major league hooked with something that was new -- the novelty factor. But it usually does wear off....

usually.... :scared:

2. I tried Second Life, just out of curiosity.
It kinda... umm... I believe the word I'm looking for is 'sucked'. :) Of course, if you actually pay money into it I'm sure it's more fun. You can't do much of anything without paying money.
