I'm Leaving Work Early To See "Superbad"
I hope you don't think that makes me a shallow aficionado of post pubescent male humor.

I didn't think "Knocked Up" and "Forty Year Old Virgin" would be funny but they were....

PEACE

1. I read a very good review of Superbad
the writer said McLovin, plucked from MySpace obscurity, is destined to be a classic cult figure

4. thanks, I am a movie buff - at the movies almost weekly
I pegged this one to go see based on the review even though I am a 50 year old gal.

Last sentence from the reveiw:

"Make no mistake, Superbad is a movie about getting wasted and getting laid, but it is above it all an ode to the end of teenage innocence in all its wonderful, horrible splendor." (Scott Foundas, Dallas Observer)

8. I'm glad I'm not the only one!
I just think it is the supreme way to see a movie.....I did manage to see two this week - Bourne Ultimatum (EXCELLENT although that shaky can had me a bit shaky at times) and The Simpsons (my bf dragged me to that one - I'm not a big cartoon fan - it was OK).

And the ending is kind of sweet as in the ending in "Knocked Up" and Forty Year Old Virgin"

12. FUNNIEST MOVIE EVER!
Go see it as soon as possible! I haven't laughed that hard since Knocked Up, which is also by the same guy.

14. Yeah, they ended it on just the right note.
It reminded me a lot of leaving high school, and also leaving college.

17. It was pretty good. Not as funny as "Knocked Up" but still really funny.

The movie gets just right the kind of over-the-top talking about sex that teenage boys do who've never been laid. And the quest for alcohol at that age like it's the holy grail. And how being that age is just tragic and funny and awkward.

Sweet ending.

McLovin was indeed the hit of the movie. Michael Sera (Evan) is great too.
