I've even started using some annoying phrase myself, lately, and I can't remember what it is! That's how bad it is.

17. these...
First off, I LOVE "My bad." It's one of only four or five slang phrases I like.

Anyway, I can't stand it when anyone starts a sentence with "At the end of the day..." (e.g. "At the end of the day, she was just a small-town girl." NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. I am of the belief that the only words that should complete that sentence are "the sun sets."

I also don't believe that "embolden" is a real word.

I hate "That's hot" unless something is literally hot, like a stove burner.

Especially when used in prayer.

And any male or female body part used to describe virtures or lack thereof. Balls, spines, boobs, whatever.

And "Girl" used to describe adults, as when someone on DU recently described Valerie Plame as a "pretty girl."

"Woman" is a noun. "Female" is the adjective.

that is some kind of arrogance, to think that bad things only happen to OTHER people. I also dislike, "They were in the wrong place at the wrong time" concerning a criminal event - it's the CRIMINAL who was in the wrong place, not the victim.
