Well, I'm out of here again (not that I've been here that much lately anyway)...
Off to Canada tomorrow for five days or so because I have a little bit of slack time with my business, and Mrs R's cousin's husband has some new business scheme he wants me to get involved in (I hope it works out better than the Costa Rican Casino deal of a few years ago did).

And also because, well, fuck it: Nobody ever had a tombstone that was inscribed with these words: "I wish I had spent more time at the office." We're going to drive up through the western part of Vermont, which Mrs R has never seen.

As usual with our vacations, I'll make SURE that I have no Internet access (and not even read a newspaper). I'll trust you all to keep the world safe for Democracy until we get back.

8. Thanks. I'll keep the shiny side up and the greasy side down, that's a promise.

6. I typically take 91N to 103
then jump on 22A after a few little turns here and there

9. Sounds like you always know to take the back roads. That's where the good stuff is.

3. Have a great time, friend.
Although I can't complain about summer living in Northern California, I'd love to be in Canada in the summer.

11. I'll relax; that's a guarantee. Mrs R's cousin is married to a very wealthy guy, so
we are NOT allowed to pay for anything while we're there.

Excepting, of course, when the Little Guy wants to drive Go-Karts, or when he and Mrs R wanto to go for the horse rides.

Thanks for the good wishes.

15. I was actually thinking of you earlier this evening.
I was all like, "where the hell is Redstone?" and shit.

Have a good time, bro. Enjoy!

17. Well, here I am and shit, though not having been so for quite a while, for
many and sundry reasons. Thanks, as usual, for thinking of me. All is well, or at least will be when whe get back, as I'll be using the time to make some life decisions. I hope.

Again?

Just kidding...

Have a ball...and it sounds as though you certainly will...

We will keep things as safe as possible till you return!

And...you will be missed...

18. Yes, again. And why? Because I can...I spent far, far too many years in the
electronics business where my free time was determined by others (as I'm sure Mr Peg remembers).

No more. A week with no pressing projects, and I'm gone. Next year, I may not be able to, but this year I can, so I will.

We'll head out in the morning when we feel like doing so, and will get all the way to Canada, or stop overnight in Vermont, if that's what we prefer.

No strees for five days or so. None.
