7. I woke up one night when I was sleeping in a field

and found that a whole family of skunks had decided to camp out with me. Three babies and both parents. I woke up, glanced down at the top of my sleeping bag, and saw them all curled up from my stomach to my lower legs.

What did I do? I laid back down, closed my eyes, and went to sleep.

That may have been the safest night I ever spent. LOL

I'd encountered them earlier that night as they tromped past my camping spot, totally unconcerned by my presense. I didn't, however, expect them to come back and settle in for the night.
