Maybe they could have given me some ideas on what to do.
I remember how it felt to be alone, without someone to come home to. For me, it sucked. However, there are people who just don't mind not having anyone. I met my sweety in 02' and we are getting married in September. He couldn't come with me because there is so much planning and stuff to do (and he is taking care of our dog and cat).
I was never really comfortable doing things by myself. It is awkward to go to a restaurant or pub and eat by myself. I have a hard time to just connect with or talk to strangers. I really envy people who just strike up conversations with anyone.
