New Gallup/USA Today Tracking poll Bush 99%, Unnamed Dem 1%

What's a poll anyway but the opinion of a 1,000 people who don't have caller ID and are the natural prey of telemarketers?

1. I give bizarre answers whenever possible
My favorite "issue" is always failure of the United States of America to completely and unconditionally adopt the Metric System for all weights and measures.

2. What about the poor with no phone?
Or those who have unlisted numbers (urban professionals and many single women). Or those who only use cell phones (young adults like me). None of us are ever counted in those polls and we trend Dem.

3. Screwing with Phole Pollers
Once I got a call from a "Survey" group that was obviously doing push polling against our Demo State Rep (who was a friend of mine). I decided to play along and have some fun.

After listening to the drivel, they asked me what I knew about the Republican Candidate. Just to be a dick, I said "I heard he beats his wife". After a VERY LONG pause, the surveyor asked "Could you repeat that?" did, but added "maybe that's just from when he was still on drugs. He might have changed now."

I know, BAD! BAD!!
