What is an appropriate inside temperature? |
|
Edited on Sat Aug-18-07 01:29 AM by XemaSab
It's Redding in August. It's 73 outside, and 66 inside. I think it's too fucking cold in this house.
Please back me up here.

You should turn the AC off and open the windows.

...I'd open up some windows, let the breeze move through...in fact, 76* is a very nice temp...
I don't know what your daytime temps have been (ours down here in Suisun have been HOT) but when I went through Redding in July, on my way home from a trip to Cedarville, it was 115*.
You guys get some pretty wild temperature extremes up there...
OT but, my aunt and uncle live in Palo Cedro. and a friend of ours teaches nursing at Shasta College...

70 is about right
In the winter I settle for 66 and put on a sweater
In August, my sweaters are packed away.

Lowest I can put the thermostat without getting a huge power bill every month, but highest I can put the thermostat without getting too hot... Florida weather sucks.

I use a small oil-filled heater in my bedroom at night. It's too soon for the wood-stove and I don't want to heat the entire house, everyone else likes it cool. BTW ~ It's 63° at 10:22 AM in Woodstock.
