About ten years ago, a cable channel, perhaps Nick at Nite, ran a shortened version of the original shows. I was nine years old when it was first on, so I didn't get the joke when Dick Martin opened up a news segment by saying, "Hello sports fans, Big Dick here." You could hear people cracking up in the background, but my dad refused to tell me what was so funny.
