Ever call your partner by the name of someone else? |
Another thread made me think of this. My husband and I were both married to others for over a decade before we were together. Sometimes (especially during a "discussion"), we'll inadvertently call each other the name of our ex. Never at one of those moments, but we still feel bad.

2. No, I avoid addressing by real name for that reason. |
And choose to always go with a nickname.

3. I'm still married, so I guess the answer to that would be no... |
...I did do that to a girlfriend once. Suffice it to say she was extremely non-plussed about it. I didn't know they were sorority sisters.

5. "Babe", "Sweetie", "Honey" |
I think in the 6 years we've been together, I've called him by his name about 3 times, each one a shock to him.
It's not purposely to avoid that but it helps. :hi:
