6. Leek and potato soup with a loaf of Pumpernickel, and some beef summer sausage and cheeses
Rainy day here, so this'll be perfect once it's done.

I'm also making scones, and a curried lamb, lentil, and tomato stew (from here: http://www.pepperfool.com/recipes/lamb/curried_lamb.html) which I am then going to reduce the liquid down (if needed) and turn it into a casserole with a breadcrumb and butter crust tomorrow for a church potluck).

I've never made that recipe before (just discovered it a few hours ago), but it looked good and it smells wonderful - it's cooking now! I'm sure I'll have a little with supper before casseroling it.

7. Not sure. I'm batching it again tonight, and not sure what I have on hand.
I think there's some homemade chicken and wild rice soup in the freezer downstairs, which sounds pretty good.

9. Home made Buffalo chicken nuggets
my kids love them, as do I. Cut boneless, skinless chicken breast into bite size chunks, batter, deep fry, then cover with buffalo wing sauce. Goes good with mashed potatoes and peas, onion rings or fries, or just about any other side dish you could think of..

I'm coming to *your* house for the chinese takeout though...

12. sausage soup
I've been cooking all day, but it's mostly stuff I'll heat up for meals during the week

I let Top Chef inspire me and made some homemade Bertolli--two different kinds.

I also made sausage soup.

I wanted to make some fish chowder too, but I ran out of steam.

15. that sounds like more than Chinese - pan asian?
we are having frozen pizzas. Well, we will heat them up, but they are frozen now. Here is how old married couples work. I bought some moz. cheese the other day, got out the breadmaker and was contemplating making homemade pizza. So he goes to town for some auto parts and other errands and comes back with frozen pizzas.

Me being the lazy martyr that I am, I will keep my mouth shut and eat the cardboard, cause it means I don't have to do anything.

20. Locally Raised lamb Chops - but that's not all!
I actually posted this in the cooking group too, I just thought this was such a cool meal, all local, some even foraged.

Had dinner with my son tonight (he's 11) and here is what we made:

- Lamb Chops with garlic and rosemary marinade - the lambs were grass feed and locally raised (we are part of a local Meat CSA0

- Swiss Chard - chopped and boiled for just a few minutes and mixed with a lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt and pepper dressing - the swiss chard was purchased at the local farmer's market and the sea salt locally produced

- Sumacade - made from staghorn berries we picked in the conservation land across the street

- Grilled honey pears with cheddar - the pears were picked from a tree in our back yard, they are small bitter pears but boil them a bit, put some honey and balsamic vinegar grill and melt some cheddar cheese (from a local dairy) and they become not only edible but a very nice finisher indeed.

That was fun and truly enjoyable!

I wasn't expecting them to be whole, in the shell...Eh, I had whole belly ones in ME recently, although breaded. They were ok. I don't feel sick yet, so that's a good sign :P

31. Tequila-Lime Chicken that's been marinating for about a day.
Plus rice and homemade salsa.

We were going to have guacamole, but the avocado wasn't ripe yet. The Mr. read today the best way to speed up ripening of an avocado was to put it in a brown bag with a banana. Who knew?

32. If we eat at all,
It will be leftover Thai (Pad Priking). We'll "snack" on that later if we're hungry.

We went to a get-togther about 2pm. I made panzanella for the first time with some yummy tomatoes and crusty bread. Sooooo good, but it's all gone. Sniffles. Besides that, I ate a ton of other yummables and I still feel kinda full. :-)
