Liqour related question
Seems whenever I touch booze these days, even just a little I get a headache. What gives?

7. Any kind of Booze??
Strange.

I get a headache if I don't drink.

Have you tried Tequila Anejo? It's guaranteed not to give you a headache. Vodka too. A good vodka is so pure that there really nothing in it to give you a headache. Unless of course you drink too much and have a hangover.

Now that I'm in my mid-40's, I've had to cut out a lot of things that I used to be able to handle easily. For starters, no more ale. If I drink ale, I feel like crap. And wine. I can drink wine with dinner. But if I have even a couple of glasses socially, I feel like someone drove a 10" spike into my head.

I stick with a couple of quality bourbons with water.

8. You've moved from a wet climate to a dry climate at altitude
I noticed something similiar when I moved from Vancouver to Calgary. So maybe that's it.

9. You're getting old.
I can't drink much anymore -- of course, I really overdid it for years. I still indulge occasionally (Mardi Gras is coming up, after all), but I need the next day off to recover.

10. Our family has had this problem too...
I'm wondering if it could be hereditary or something.

My dad had problems in his later years with this, and could only drink Falstaff beer for some reason.

My brother noticed as he got older that only vodka would keep him from having the horrible spike-through-the-head headaches.

I've just noticed that I can't drink the way I used to, but haven't noticed it from any particular liquor yet. When I can't drink Bailey's anymore I'll have to end it all.
