What's the name for the neurological phenomenon... |
|
where you have to finish a well-worn song or phrase that someone has started but won't complete? Like when someone says "Shave and a haircut" and you have to say "two bits." All I can remember is that the name of this phenomenon begins with a "Z". :dunce:<--me

1. You mean like when you hear, "Don't turn around, uh oh..." |
|
and you have to mutter, "Der der der komissar's in town, uh oh!"
I have no idea. :P

2. The thing itself is an "earworm" |
|
and part of it is that you have to complete it before you can continue thinking about something else.
But I can't think of another word.

4. I thought an "earworm" was a song that you can't get rid of |
|
Like I am currently experiencing with "Stairway to Heaven".
